Welcome to my Workroom!
Debby’s story started for me in the mid-80’s with a sweet elderly Mennonite lady (Anna) who lived in the town of Goshen Indiana. She took Debby under her training wings for an entire summer. She taught her the layout of a workroom, industrial machines and how to manage the machinery, fabrics, and the trade. It didn’t take long to have a full-time business within the River District of Elkhart County Indiana. Friends, those days were very busy with orders on top of orders. Working for interior decorators, and retail taught her the trade from two different perspectives. Now she works with interior decorators, contractors, and directly with the customer. Her workroom is fully equipped while working from her home shop.
Blast from the past
From the 1980’s
This is the sign we had by the road with a big white post. We lived on a farm at the time, and life was busy and fun. In the 80’s we didn’t have the internet. Signs such as this, yellow pages, word of mouth (still the best), and a small add in the local news paper keep me busy! Today this sign is in my 3 season sun room with a wood storage box on the side of it.
Window treatments are making a come back
I couldn’t be more thrilled!
